Frequently asked questions
How many tons of AC do I need for a 12 x 14 room?
A 12 x 14 ft room is 168 sq ft, so a 1.5 ton AC is the usual choice. If it is on the top floor or gets afternoon sun, 1.5 ton is still right but will work harder.
Is a bigger AC always better?
No. An oversized AC cools quickly but switches off before removing humidity, which leaves the room clammy. An inverter of the right size is more comfortable and cheaper to run.
Does the calculator replace a site survey?
